We have jobs here as 'dishies' (dishwashers) for a couple of weeks. It is a fairly cruisy arrangement & nice to become part of a small community of fellow campers/workers. For a couple of hours each day we have a powered site, evening main meal, access to tours, swimming & Lawn Hill Gorge. It was an opportunity which arose & suited whilst we wait here to meet up with friends mid month. Map route from Doomadgee approximate (Station tracks).

Return to the place which was 'home' to us for 7 weeks, 10 years ago almost to the day. On that occasion we needed a new motor for our bus, on this occasion circumstances are much happier. Still a lovely place to stay, although has expanded somewhat. As far as CP's go this has a nice laid back feel. Just an overnighter this time though - a chance to wash all the dust out! :)

There has been a 'hiccup' with our caretaking arrangement up on the Dampier Peninsula. We had planned on going up there today, but a phone call saw us take a couple of days out whilst a few things get sorted out. So an opportunity to return to Lange Crossing/Telegraph pool on the Fitzroy River where we can indulge in a little croc watching.
